Having badly bruised my tailbone last year in an incident that involved a poorly constructed oversized wagon, huge hill, farm, and oncoming tractor I pay more attention to hip and tailbone pads. All the skii/snowboard/football options seem like overkill.
For apleseed the enemy is fatigue. The muscles scream out after being in prone shooting, sitting/rice paddi and standing position while exercising proper marksmanship. Doing it for 2 days in inclement weather is torture.

This belt may be a possibility

This shirt is fairly reasonably priced, and supposedly all season. Pretty good contender.

I have heard excellent things about this shirt from coworker. another possibility. It seems good for contact sports but unlikely to help in tough mudder or Appleseed.
