CQ CQ CQ W3P

Some of you might already be familiar with Mid Atlantic CCDC. I have been fortunate enough to have been added to the Red Team 2 years ago. We are responsible for making the blue teams cry simulating cyber attacks on the e-voting system. We will be trying to compromise their systems, plant flags, and prevent blue teams from running services reliably/scoring points.

HAM Radio Fun

April 10: Setup and testing in the late afternoon (EDT)
April 11: Operating from approximately 8AM to 5:30 PM (EDT)
April 12: Operating from approximately 8AM to 5:30 PM (EDT)
April 13: Operating from approximately 8AM to 5:30 PM (EDT)

20M: 14.285 alternate 14.250
40M: 7.285 alternate 7.200
2M: Evening hours after 5:30 in the Columbia, MD area(sporadic) 146.52
We will also be investigating the use of Echolink
We will switch between 20 and 40 Meters during the day and a yet to be specified interval, or as band conditions fluctuate.

We have not yet been told how exactly HAM radio will be used but if you are anywhere in the world (or in MD area for 2M) you can help the Red Team! We will need volunteers monitoring those frequencies and as the events develop we will likely need people to contact the Blue Teams to pass on missinformation to them. We do not yet know if this will be voice, PSK31, AX.25, Olivia or some other packet format.

In support of the theme for this of e-Voting and Millitary
communication/field operations Larry has secured the ability to operate a
“Special Event Amateur Radio Station” under the call sign “W3P”(http://www.1x1callsigns.org). We’ll be utilizing this station as anopportunity for all teams to “GOTA” (Get On The Air). After some shortinstruction teams attempt to make contacts with other ham radio operatorsall over the world.

Please take the time to get on the air that day and make contact on these frequencies.
